Excellence Competencies programmes are planned and facilitated by TBExG to support and enable organisations to enhance competencies on various excellence frameworks such as Business, Data, Social, Safety and Cyber Excellence. This has become a formal and specific component of the Tata group's drive towards performance excellence. The Excellence Competencies programmes offered by TBExG are geared towards preparing business leaders for achieving performance excellence. Every year, TBExG facilitates over 70 invitation and nomination-based programmes which are attended by over 1,400 participants. There are two significant areas in which Excellence Competencies programmes are offered.

The first area focuses on developing Assessor capabilities through an experiential learning methodology. These Assessment-related programmes are aimed at developing the skills of new Assessors and enhancing the skills of experienced Assessors. The new Assessor programmes are certification programmes and include case study discussion, breakout sessions, and quizzes.
The second area focuses on building Champion capabilities through customised interventions. These programmes aim to develop Champions to drive improvement initiatives in their functions aligned to the organisation's goals.
