Safety Steering Committee
A Safety Steering Committee (SSC) was constituted at the apex level to ensure a consistently safe working environment across Tata companies.
The members of the committee include CEOs and select senior safety and health personnel drawn from Tata Group companies. The primary role of the SSC is to:
- Frame broad guidelines/policies with regard to safety and health
- Oversee implementation of these guidelines/policies
- Review the policies, processes and systems periodically and recommend measures for improvement
- Advise and approve Tata Group related matters brought for its consideration by the working committees and TBExG
