More than 7,700 participants logged-in for the fourth series of ARRE (ARRE-4) organised by the Group Safety & Health team

Best practices on ‘Preventing Falls, Lifting and Material Movement’ were presented by 19 speakers from 13 companies, including 10 external speakers from renowned organisations such as GE, L&T, Saint Gobain, JLL, Leighton, Sekura and Mtandt, during the fourth series of the Accelerated Reduction in Repeat Events (ARRE-4) intervention, held from February 6-16, 2024.

The ARRE-4 intervention witnessed 7,700+ logins from more than 40 Tata companies.

The schedule for ARRE-4 was meticulously designed for diverse industry requirements, featuring expert speakers addressing various facets of ‘Preventing Falls, Lifting & Movement of Loads’. The topics during the ARRE focused on controls to be put in place for safe working on Fragile roofs, Scaffoldings, Glass facade cleaning, Safe use of ladders, Safe lifting standards & practices by cranes & forklifts and thereby offering very practical and valuable insights to the attendees. The sessions seamlessly blended the conceptual/theoretical aspects and the real-world best practices through case studies, making the information more contextual and actionable.

Notably, the learnings from these sessions will contribute to the revision of the ‘Working at Height, Lifting & Material Handling Standard’, ensuring continuous improvement in safety protocols.

Launched in October 2020, the ARRE has evolved with each series. The first series focused on 'Vehicle Movement,' followed by 'Fire Safety, Electrical Safety & LOTO' in October 2021, and 'Contractor Safety Management' in February 2023. The ARRE-4 series marked another milestone in enhancing workplace safety by delving into the critical domains of ‘Preventing Falls, Lifting & Movement of Loads’.
