Tata companies in the retail space come together to learn from each other about New Store Opening processes

New Store Opening was an area where several Tata companies operating in the retail space had indicated the need to share and learn from others in the group. To enable such learning opportunities, Tata Business Excellence Group, for the first time ever, facilitated a series of best practice sessions which were divided in two phases. Sessions in the first phase included the initial get together of six retail Tata companies – Infiniti Retail, Titan, Trent, Tata Starbucks, Okhai and Trent Hypermarket – that discussed the various practices the respective companies follow for new store openings. The outcome of Phase 1 helped initiate Phase 2, which focused on specific areas which the participant companies felt would be beneficial to them.

These sessions garnered a high NPS of +80 and were very well received, with many participants now in the process of implementing the practices within their companies.
