Assessor Programmes: Driving performance excellence like a leader

Tata group companies participate in the TBEM External Assessments to gain an external perspective on their progress. These Assessments are conducted by trained and qualified Assessors within the Tata group, leveraging their diverse industry and functional expertise. The Assessors understand, evaluate, and provide strategically important feedback to organisations, offering key insights that guide them in achieving world-class performance.

Tata managers participate in the First-Time Assessor programmes, where they are introduced to the Tata Business Excellence Model criteria and Assessment methodologies. These classroom programmes are conducted in all major cities of India and Warwickshire, UK, and are open to all Tata colleagues.

The Assessor Development Journey

TBExG facilitates varied different First-Time Assessor programmes for various participant groups. The Business Excellence Assessor Programme (BEAP) is designed to enable high-performing Tata managers to become TBEM Assessors, thereby sharpening their leadership competencies. The Subject Matter Expert Assessor Programme (SMEAP) enables senior functional leaders with domain expertise to become TBEM Assessors and contribute to delivering actionable feedback for the assessee companies. The Assessor Recertification Programme helps previously certified Assessors to recertify themselves as TBEM Assessors. The Online Refresher Programme (ORP) is an invitation-based programme for previously certified TBEM Assessors who were unable to participate in TBEM Assessments due to personal or professional exigencies.

The Assessor Certification Programme (ACP) is a new addition to the set of Competency Development Programmes. This classroom-based programme provides an opportunity for participants to visit the key concepts and tools of TBEM Assessment. ACP is open to participants (invitation-based) who have successfully completed the Practitioners' programme and projects undertaken during the BEPP programme and would like to qualify as TBEM Assessors.

The Experienced Assessors Programmes (EAP - invitation-based) enable current Assessors with Business Excellence External Assessment experience to get acquainted with the changes in the Assessment process, TBEM 2.0 criteria, and new focus areas and be eligible for the upcoming Assessments.

The Advanced Programme for Leaders (APL - invitation-based) is a key annual programme for collaboration in which high-performing TBEM Assessors and Team Leaders reflect on the past Business Excellence Assessment process and identify priorities and opportunities for the next Assessment cycle.
