Tata AutoComp is India’s leading automotive component conglomerate serving domestic and global automotive OEMs and Tier 1 suppliers. The company comprises of 16 business units, including 9 joint ventures with global auto component leaders. Tata AutoComp operates across 51 manufacturing facilities in India, North America, Latin America, Europe, and China.
With the organisation experiencing rapid growth, there's a recognised need to enhance the existing Knowledge Management portal, making it more interactive and user-friendly. Tata Business Excellence Group (TBExG) has aided in identifying Tata group companies that have recently improved their KM Portal. The first session involved the TBExG team, including Devraj Chattaraj and Bilal Ahmad, along with the TCS team, to gain insights into the technology, platform, and features of the EDGE portal.
The TBExG team helped to connect with the Tata Elxsi team who have recently improved the company KM Portal. Bindu Narayan and Mohan Narayanan conducted a session to discuss the approach and various engagements related to enhancing KM features on the portal.
Another session was conducted with Tata Power-DDL by Kunal Pareek and Harshita Agarwal on interventions like Best Practice sessions, R&R programme and technology platforms.
Following these interactions, Tata AutoComp has introduced its new KM portal, known as "Knowverse”, which is hosted on SharePoint Online and boasts advanced features and functionalities.
Around 300+ content pieces have been published on the KM portal within 3 months of its launch.
