Amit Chincholikar from Group HR inaugurated the TNF session and talked about the importance of automation and analytics in the HR context.

The first presentation on ‘Analytics in HR’ was made by Sudipta Marjit and Mayukh Maiti from Tata Capital, and talked about the analytics journey undertaken by the company. They explained the use of predictive analytics and big data and also showcased how chat bots have been used innovatively in their company. The organisation is also looking at increasing productivity of its sales force and employees through such innovations.

The second session was by Nandini Dias, CEO, Lodestar UM. She talked about how changing office timings to staggered work hours can help reduce the burden on the train system in Mumbai during rush hours and thus help reduce accidents. She has launched a social initiative called ‘Work To Live To Work’ (http://www.worktolivetowork.com) to help save lives. It was gratifying to note that some group companies have already adopted a similar approach in Mumbai.

The last session of the day was by Indian Hotels, in which Ajoy Jauhar talked about the automation journey of the company’s HR processes and shared the learnings of the journey.
