Tata executives participate in TBEM assessment as external assessors to sharpen their leadership skills and to network and learn. The assessor development programmes are targeted at various levels and the Subject Matter Expert Assessors Programme (SMEAP) — earlier known as SBLP — is for senior functional leaders and experts in operational areas such as sales and marketing, HR, finance, legal and secretarial, internal audit, project management, operations, strategy, safety and supply chain management.
Broadly, the programme aims to enhance managerial excellence and assessment skills by leveraging assessors’ intellectual capabilities and by experience sharing. SMEAP is an experiential, exciting and enriching programme that enables senior leaders and subject matter experts to become TBEM assessors and helps them achieve the following objectives:
- Develop capability for business diagnosis
- Learn to hypothesise situations and probabilities
- Master an ability to drive consensus
- Create a rich network for mutual gains
- Enrich role as a business leader
The SMEAP schedule for 2017-18 has been announced and senior leaders, with at least 15 years of work experience, are welcome for these programmes. The programme will equip participants to become TBEM assessors for the 2018 cycle.
