Tata Business Excellence Group (TBExG) held a Global BE Heads Forum meet for all the BE Heads of Tata companies on July 30, 2016. Mr Padmanabhan gave the opening remarks to the gathering, introducing the senior leaders present among the audience, and then going on to discuss the evolution of TBEM over the past two decades. Commenting on the evolving nature of TBEM, he said that it has now become a strategy tool for Tata companies, acting as a knowledge network for them to grow. He stressed on the importance of the BE Heads’ role in the business excellence journey of the group.

Dr Rajan then took to the stage to give a stimulating Keynote Speech, in which he highlighted the uniqueness of the TBEM Model, through which the strength of collective wisdom is being leveraged. Addressing all the BE Heads present, Dr Rajan encouraged them to break barriers and create a shared vision within their respective companies, so that the business excellence journey of the Tata group can be accelerated.

The panel covered interesting insights from all these leaders who came from different background and whose companies functioned in many varied businesses. Each leader gave his perspective on the challenges and opportunities that they had seen in their respective careers; the role of BE Heads as they see it; the plans they had for their companies, and the role that TBExG will play for them in the future. The discussion was interspersed with many questions from the participants, who added their perspective to the discussion.

The second half of the BE Heads Forum Meet was a Customer Feedback workshop conducted for the BE Heads by PricewaterHouse Coopers, during which the group was divided into six groups. The session ended with enthusiastic suggestions and discussion on the subject from the participants.
