The event commenced with a welcome address by Deepak Deshpande, Vice President & Head - Customer Experience, Tata Business Excellence Group, Tata Sons. The opening remarks were delivered by Siddhartha Mundra, Chief Financial Officer, Tata Communications, who welcomed participants to Tata Communications and emphasised the increasingly strategic role of treasury in supporting business growth and resilience. He highlighted the need for treasury functions to balance liquidity, risk management, investment optimisation, and governance while navigating a rapidly changing economic and technological landscape. His address underscored the importance of agility, informed decision-making, and preparedness in an environment characterised by uncertainty and disruption.
The first session, Finding Alpha in Uncertainty: Where Should Treasuries Invest Next? was led by Navneet Munot, Managing Director & CEO, HDFC Asset Management Company Limited (HDFC AMC). Drawing upon his extensive experience in financial markets and asset management, he shared perspectives on identifying investment opportunities in uncertain market conditions. Participants also gained insights into fixed-income opportunities and strategies that corporate treasuries can adopt to generate sustainable returns while preserving capital.
The second session, Navigating Volatile Times Through Risk Management was conducted by Manoj Goel, Head of Corporate FX Sales, Citibank. The discussion focused on strengthening treasury risk management frameworks in an increasingly volatile environment. The final session, Beyond the Firewall: Building Financial Resilience Against Cyber Threats, was delivered by Anup Dhingra, Managing Director, FinPro Marsh (IMEA). With cyber risks becoming a significant concern for businesses worldwide, the session examined emerging threat trends, the financial implications of cyber incidents, and the increasing relevance of cyber insurance as a strategic risk transfer mechanism.
