Functional Expertise

Sanjeev, an Organisation Development professional, has been with the Tata Group for the last 32 years and currently heads Tata Business Excellence Group, a division of Tata Sons. His current role involves partnering Tata companies in their journey of excellence in aspects like process, data, safety, social and key group focus areas. This is enabled through customised co-created solutions encompassing performance diagnostics, improvement projects, capability building and best practices adaptation to help build a business performance excellence culture in the organisation. He has facilitated over 30 Assessments (diagnostics), 40+ Capability Building Programmes, Data Maturity Assessments and many Improvement Projects as part of the Tata Business Excellence movement.

Prior to his current role, Sanjeev worked with Tata Special Steels Limited (merged with Tata Steel as Wires Division) in various leadership roles across Manufacturing, Supply Chain, Retail Marketing and Sri-Lanka Wires Business Unit Head.

On the social side, he assists Tata companies in their Affirmative Action journey and not-for-profit organisations (eg: TISS-NUSSD, TMCP) in their Purpose-Excellence journey.
