The carnival's theme, 'OUR AIM – ZERO HARM', aligned with the theme of Indian National Safety Day, and aimed to raise awareness about the company's sustainability philosophy. The carnival's primary objective was to cultivate a sense of safety ownership among all employees, including on-roll and off-roll employees as well as contractors. The carnival engaged with employees to promote the organisational safety culture. The campaign targeted all employees who have access to Yammer.

The overall feedback from the employees was overwhelmingly positive, demonstrating the effectiveness of the Carnival in promoting safety awareness and fostering a secure working environment across all locations in India.

2. Significant Milestone achieved:

Resustain Tool for Incident Investigation and Internal Safety Audits:

Tata Communications has an integrated tool for managing Health & Safety Systems. In FY'23, the company launched a tool for conducting Incident Reporting & Investigation, which plays a vital role in systematically implementing and improving the incident investigation process.
The tool will aid ease in reporting unsafe observations, near misses and will streamline the investigation process.

In FY'23, apart from Incident Reporting & Investigation tool, Tata Communications has also launched the BU Safety Audit tool, which enables the Corporate Safety team to conduct audits systematically by ensuring that all required parameters are checked as a part of the audit. The tool also provides readymade dashboards and reporting.

3. Integration of Integrated Management System: EOHS Management System

Tata Communications has effectively established its management system by conforming to the Health and Safety Management System of the Tata group and complying with the requirements of ISO 45001 Standard. The company has developed an Integrated Management System, considering the safety parameters recommended by ISO45001 and ISO14001 standards during the financial year.

Integrating both management systems has positively impacted teams by saving time, and energy and maintaining different systems.

To date, two in Singapore and three in Canada have already obtained certification as per the ISO 45001 standard. Implementing this management system has helped define the organisational structure, responsibilities, procedures, processes, and resources necessary for developing, implementing, achieving, reviewing, and maintaining the OH&S policy and other commitments. Regarding safety governance, the company has established a formal mechanism through its Global Safety Council (GSC) and Management Review Committee, which periodically assesses safety performance.

4. Stretch & Pause Application:
