Journey to Success

FICCI award

By winning every award applied for, Tata Projects achieved a 100% success rate in FY2024, up from approximately 90% in FY2023. This is a testament of its strategic and systematic approach. The company employed the DMAIC framework — Define, Measure, Analyse, Improve, Control — a methodology rooted in Six Sigma principles, to streamline its efforts and ensure continuous improvement.

Tata Projects transitioned from a fragmented, site-specific approach to a centralised, strategic process in FY2023. It reduced the number of award categories to three, carefully mapping over 200 projects to these categories to align with its intrinsic values. By engaging leadership at every step, from application to assessment, and centralising the control of the process, the company ensured consistent, high-quality submissions that highlighted its strengths. This methodical approach not only addressed past inefficiencies but also fostered a culture of excellence and accountability throughout the organisation.

In qualitative terms, too, the performance in FY2024 improved by enhancing focus on top-tier national and international awards, and by selecting sites based on rigorous evaluation criteria.
